Laura Olson is a director of Global Social Impact at Starbucks Coffee Company.

She began her career in Corporate Social Responsibility in 2002 at Nordstrom, Inc. While at Nordstrom, Laura led global program strategy as the Director of Social Responsibility focused on factory ethical sourcing. In 2013, she joined Starbucks, leading the strategy for creating ethical supply chains for all manufactured products and tea farms. In late 2015, Laura was asked to lead efforts to develop a company-wide food donation program in partnership with Feeding America. Through this work, Laura oversaw the company’s campaign to help end hunger through the FoodShare program, advocated for policy with local and federal government, developed communication strategies, drove internal engagement and leveraged the brand for issue awareness. Currently, Laura leads the company’s long-standing commitment around community service, how Starbucks engages in strengthening communities and empowers their partners (employees) to lead the way.
