For more than 20 years, Howard Byck has created innovative corporate partnerships to maximize business results and deliver social impact in senior roles across a range of industries within the for-profit and nonprofit sectors.
Howard is currently Senior Vice President of Corporate Alliances & Solutions for the American Cancer Society. He is responsible for developing and managing corporate partnerships, cause-marketing campaigns, sponsorships, licensing and workplace engagement programs to fund breakthrough cancer research and patient support programs.
He negotiated the partnership with Avon to be the National Presenting Sponsor of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer which last year raised over $60 million in the fight against breast cancer. He also developed the strategic alliance with CVS Health, making them the Official Pharmacy Retailer of the American Cancer Society to increase access to health products and services and build upon a longstanding partnership that includes providing tobacco-control expertise and support to the company's Be The First initiative, CVS Health's five-year, $50 million commitment to help deliver the first tobacco-free generation.
After graduating Cornell University, Howard started his career at The Walt Disney Company where over an 11-year span he held various positions including Director of Corporate Alliances at Walt Disney World.
Subsequently, he played critical roles as Chief Marketing Officer and Director of Creative Enterprises at Share Our Strength, as Senior Vice President of Lifestyle Products at AARP and as Senior Vice President of Client Services at Strayer Education.
Howard currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Heart of America Foundation, which is dedicated to creating vibrant learning environments in schools across the country having refurbished more than 400 libraries, cafeterias, and educational spaces. He is also a Board Member for the Cornell ILR Alumni Association and a member of the Cornell Alumni Admissions Ambassador Network. Howard is a frequent guest lecturer at colleges and business schools on the subject of “Careers with Purpose.”
He is an avid college sports fan, self-proclaimed “foodie” and proud parent of three children. He and his wife Eliana reside in Potomac, Maryland.
